How to find Haworth Cat Rescue

From Hebden Bridge & Todmorden

Take the road from Hebden Bridge
towards Keighley, passing over the moors (Cock Hill), and through Oxenhope. As you leave Oxenhope you will encounter a mini-roundabout which you should go straight across. Continue on the same road. You will pass Haworth on the left, and the wind-turbine on the right. Eventually you come to a junction opposite a shop called Southams. Bear right at this junction and follow the road until you reach a second mini-roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout, and follow the road for about a quarter of a mile until you see a garage on the left called Bocking Garage. Slow down at Bocking Garage. You will see a farm-track on the left which you ignore, then a forty-mph sign and then a second farm-track on the left, which is the one you want. This is a very sharp left. Drive down the farm track and take the first fork to the right.

From Halifax and Huddersfield (Queensbury, Denholme)

Take the A629 from Halifax to Keighley. You will pass through Denholme. You will see a semi-derelict hotel on the right called the Five Flags, and then a pub on the left called the Flappit (you are still on the A629). About a mile after the Flappit you will reach a mini-roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout towards Keighley. After about a quarter of a mile until you see a garage on the left called Bocking Garage. Slow down at Bocking Garage. You will see a farm-track on the left which you ignore, then a forty-mph sign and then a second farm-track on the left, which is the one you want. This is a very sharp left. Drive down the farm track and take the first fork to the right.

From Skipton, Ilkley (via Keighley)

Approach Keighley via the Skipton by-pass you will encounter a roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout and you will encounter a second roundabout. Turn left at the second roundabout. This will take you along North St Keighley, past several banks and the bus station. Go straight through all sets of traffic lights until you come to another roundabout. Take the left road, signposted to Haworth/Halifax. Travel up this road for a couple of miles, and then look out for a red bus shelter on the right hand side just before you get to Cross Roads (it is the only red bus shelter on this stretch of road). Shortly after the bus shelter is a farm-track on the right, which you should take. (Opposite the farm-track is a road called Lingfield Drive). Drive down the farm track and take the first fork to the right.

From Bradford, Bingley, Shipley (via Keighley)

Approach Keighley via the by-pass. You will come to a large roundabout at the end of the by-pass, and you should turn left here, following the signs for Bronte Country. Stay on this road until the end of it. You pass Keighley railway Station, and go through 2 sets of traffic lights. At the end of the road is a third set of traffic lights, and a Kwik-fit garage on the left. You turn left here. This is the A629.

By Bus from Keighley

There are several buses which pass us, these include the buses to Oxenhope, Haworth, Oakworth, Todmorden, Halifax etc (if in doubt, please ask at the bus station - the bus should go up Halifax Rd). Once on the bus, ask the driver to put you off at Lingfield Drive. Immediately opposite (on the other side of the main road) you will see a farm-track. Walk down the farm track and take the first fork to the right.

By Bus from Halifax/Hebden Bridge/Huddersfield

Take the Keighley Bus (you may have to ask at your local bus station for the number and the times it runs). Ask the driver to put you off at the stop after Bocking Garage. This is a red bus shelter. Walk back up the road a few yards, and you will see a farm track on the right. Walk down the farm track and take the first fork to the right.
