Welcome to my website

I am an experienced author of information books for children, and have written more than a hundred and fifty titles for both the school & library market and the trade. Much of my work involves explaining complex scientific ideas and modern technology clearly to the young reader. I have also written about sports, such as cricket, soccer and climbing,, and about photography.

I've worked for many publishers, including Franklin Watts, Dorling Kindersley, Heinemann and Hodder Wayland.

I am available for visiting schools to talk about writing non fiction in general, and science books in particular.

Apart from writing books, I also work as a rock-climbing instructor. Most of my spare hours are spent actually doing rock climbing, playing tennis, taking photographs and trying to keep track of ever-changing technology.
